Winter percussion consists of the marching percussion, known as the battery, and the front ensemble, known as the pit, sections of the marching band. Indoor percussion brings together elements of music performance, marching, and theater. The BHS Winter Percussion group participates in contests competing against area high schools and in regional competition on the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit. The season begins in November with rehearsals and competitions that typically conclude in late March.
